October Recognition and Appreciation
This October, the Borough recognizes and honors the following citizen, both resident and non-resident, contributions:
Resolution 2018-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF GREENVILLE, MERCER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, IN RECOGNITION AND APPRECIATION OF
JOAN WENTLING
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Mayor and Council to acknowledge and recognize the many contributions citizens make to the well-being of the Borough and its residents; and
WHEREAS Joan Wentling has contributed to the welfare of this community in countless ways; and
WHEREAS she has served faithfully at the Canal Museum, in the Shenango Valley Choir, and at Zion’s Reformed Church; and
WHEREAS, she has been especially recognized for her work organizing hanging baskets on Main Street; and
WHEREAS, her service to the Borough stands as a continued example of outstanding citizenship;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Borough of Greenville of Mercer County, Pennsylvania, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council hereby extend their sincere appreciation and goodwill to Joan Wentling;
2. Joan Wentling is hereby declared Citizen of the Month for the month of October in the Borough of Greenville; &
3. Copies of this Resolution shall be delivered to Joan Wentling, provided to local media, and spread on the minutes of this body.

Resolution 2018-22
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF GREENVILLE, MERCER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA, IN RECOGNITION OF THE YARD OF THE MONTH:
TISHA SPINKS
WHEREAS community well-being and neighborhood property values are affected by the outward appearance of property and its improvements; and
WHEREAS some residents go above and beyond to maintain their property, bringing pride to the community in which they live; and
WHEREAS, Tisha Spinks has painstakingly manicured her residence in such a manner so as to be an example to others;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Borough of Greenville of Mercer County, Pennsylvania, as follows:
1. The Mayor and Council hereby extend their sincere gratitude and goodwill to Tisha Spinks;
2. Tisha Spink’s property, located on West Main Street, is hereby declared Yard of the Month for the month of October in the Borough of Greenville;
3. The “Borough Yard of the Month” sign shall be placed at said property until the following month, &
3. Copies of this Resolution shall be delivered to Tisha Spinks, provided to local media, and spread on the minutes of this body.
