GREENVILLE BOROUGH 2019 PAVING PROGRAM
Sealed bids for the Greenville Borough 2019 Paving Program will be received by Greenville Borough at 125 Main St, Greenville, PA 16125 on September 4, 2019 until 4:00 P.M. local prevailing time; at which time and place, said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work of this project 2019 Paving Program will involve roadway resurfacing of several dozen streets within the borough that are currently in fair to poor condition. The project will involve the application of chip seal on 72 individual roadway segments totaling roughly 64,000 SY of paving area. The project will also entail a mill and overlay of 370 linear feet of Church Street between SR 0018 (Clarksville Street) and Morgan Street, a total excavation and reconstruction of Loutzehnhiser Way between North Third Street and SR 4005 (North High Street), the construction of 320 linear feet of asphalt wedge curb along Barrett Street and the construction of 440 linear feet of asphalt wedge curb along Leever Street.
Bids may be mailed to the Greenville Borough at 125 Main St, Greenville, PA 16125, Attention: Jasson Urey, Borough Manager and will be considered if received prior to the scheduled time of bid opening. The Greenville Borough assumes no responsibility for bids mailed but not received.
The Contract Documents may be examined at the office of Buchart Horn, Inc., Consulting Engineers and Planners, 2200 Liberty Avenue, Suite 300, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15222-4502. Telephone inquiries regarding the acquiring of documents for bidding may be made to the Engineer's office at (412)261-5059; inquiries directed to Eileen Macioce, Administrative Support. Only bidders receiving full set documents through the Engineer will be on record to receive Addenda. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained at the office of the Engineer upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $ 25.00 plus shipping for each set. Make checks payable to Buchart Horn, Inc.
All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be faxed to the ENGINEER, Attention: Gregory Scott, Fax No. 412-261-4168. No questions will be accepted by phone or e-mail.
Each bidder must deposit, with the bid, Security in the amount of 10% of the bid and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders.
All bids shall remain irrevocable for sixty days after the actual date of the opening thereof unless award is delayed due to the required approval of another government agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants; in which case, bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty days in compliance with Act 317 of 1978.
A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for August 26, 2019 2:00 P.M. at the Greenville Municipal Building. Prospective bidders may discuss the project at that time with representatives of the Greenville Borough and Engineer.
