Christmas Light Parade

Christmas Parade will take place Saturday, December 3 with set up beginning in Riverside Park at 3:00 p.m. The parade will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m. taking the following route:

Participants will…start from Riverside Park then travel up Race Street to Water Street entrance; turn left onto Main Street and proceed to Louisa Avenue where the parade ends. (Except for the band and Santa, NO units are to turn onto Penn Avenue.)

We respectfully ask that no one incorporate Santa into their display, since he is the main attraction of the parade.

SPECIAL MEETING - SANITARY AUTHORITY

The Greenville Sanitary Authority is having a special meeting on Thursday, November 10th at 6pm at the Greenville Senior Center, 45 Alan Avenue.  The purpose of this meeting is to discuss a potential sale of the sanitary sewer system asset and any other business that may come before the board.  Any persons with special needs are asked to call ahead so provisions may be made for their attendance.

Join the Brownfields Redevelopment Team as they present their initial ideas for redeveloping Greenville’s key brownfields sites, including the Trinity property and Main Street vacant properties.  Representatives from project consultants KU Resources, Stromberg Garrigan Associates, KM Date Community Planning, and Gaito and Associates will talk about opportunities for new housing and commercial development, trail connections, community open space, and Main Street revitalization.  Your input is important!

Christmas Light Up Parade

Christmas Light-Up Parade 2018

This year's Christmas Parade will take place Saturday, December 1 with line up beginning in Riverside Park at 4:00 p.m. The parade will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m. taking the following route:

- - Participants will…start at Riverside Park; turn right onto Alan Avenue; proceed onto North Race Street; turn right onto Shenango Street; turn left onto North Water Street; turn left onto Main Street and proceed to the Greenville House where the parade ends across the street with the announcement of the scarecrow winners. (Walkers and float riders will be encouraged to end their route at Penn and Main, after which the floats and cars participating in the parade, cannot park on Penn Ave., or by Central Park, but are in no way obligated to turn onto Shenango Street to head back to the park.)

- Traffic along the parade route will be affected beginning at 5:00 pm.
