Public Hearing Notice Borough/Town of Greenville HOME Application
Notice is hereby given that the Borough/Town of Greenville will hold a public hearing on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. in the Borough/Town of Greenville Municipal Building, 125 Main Street, Greenville, PA 16125. This meeting is accessible to individuals with disabilities and/or for persons with Limited English Proficiency. The purpose of this public hearing is to disclose the borough/town’s intent to apply for a grant under the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development’s HOME Investment Partnership Program in the amount of $500,000. This grant would fund a single-family, owner occupied housing rehabilitation program. The program would benefit low-to-moderate income households. Repairs could include such items as roofing, siding, windows and wiring, furnace replacement and installation of hand rails.
If the borough/town would undertake activities that results in the displacement of families or individuals, then the policy for minimizing such displacement would be in effect. The borough/town is responsible for replacing all low and moderate income housing units that may be demolished or converted as a result of the use of HOME funds.
All interested citizens are encouraged to attend and will be offered the opportunity to give oral testimony at the public hearing and/or to present written comments concerning the HOME application as well as the borough/town’s performance under previously funded HOME programs.
