The Town of Greenville Code Appeals Board will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, February 15th, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. in the Council Chambers located at 125 Main Street, Greenville, PA 16125 concerning a variance request of the Signs and Billboards Ordinance Chapter 436, Article IX (Maximum Height) and Article XV (Size, number, and spacing requirements for freestanding signs).
The location of the variance request is 110 N Main Street, Greenville, PA 16125, which is located in the CR-1 zoning district. The owner of record and applicant of the variance request is UPMC.
The subject property currently contains signage which exceeds maximum height, surface area, and number requirements for the property in question.
The property owner is seeking two variances from the Signs and Billboards Ordinance. The first is from Chapter 436, Article IX, §436-29 (Maximum Height) to permit reduction of height and increase of surface area for one sign. The second is from Chapter 436, Article XV, §436-82 (Size, number, and spacing requirements for freestanding signs) to allow for the construction of two additional pedestal signs beyond the number permitted by code.
The Zoning Ordinance defers signage variance requests to the Code Appeals Board.
All persons having an interest in the matters being brought before the Town of Greenville Code Appeals Board are hereby invited to attend and will be given the chance to be heard regarding these matters only. Further information can be obtained by contacting the Town of Greenville’s main office at 125 Main Street, Greenville, PA 16125, or by calling 724-588-4193.
