SEALED BIDS are requested by the Borough of Greenville and will be received at the office of the Borough Manager, Borough  Building, 125 Main Street, Greenville, PA 16125 until 2:00 PM Local Time on Monday, July 29, 2019, for providing all labor, material and equipment for the Borough of Greenville Demolition and Clearance Project No. 19-01 for demolition of five (5) residential structure(s) and clearance thereof.

      Bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at 2:00 PM Local Time on Monday, July 29, 2019 in Council Chambers.  Copies of specifications and contract documents are available at the office of the Borough  Manager, 125 Main Street, Greenville, PA 16125 and may be purchased for a non-refundable fee of $25.00 payable to the Borough of Greenville.

     Bids must be submitted on prescribed forms furnished by the Borough of Greenville and completed in strict accordance with instructions provided. Each bid proposal must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, in form of a certified check or corporate surety bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid proposal, made in favor of the Borough of Greenville. Performance, Labor and Material men's Bonds of 100% and Maintenance Bonds of 50% with good and sufficient surety will be required as noted in the Instructions to Bidders, to be filed within ten (10) days of contract award.

      Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure that ·employees, independent contractors, and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religious creed, handicap, ancestry, national origin, age or sex.

      The Contractor, in accordance with the Executive Orders 11625 and 12138 must utilize to the greatest extent feasible minority and/or women-owned business concerns which are located within the municipality, county, or the general trade area.  The Bidder must submit documentary evidence of minority and women-owned business enterprises who have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made.  Failure to submit the required documents will result in the bid being rejected as non-responsive.

      No bid or any part thereof shall be withdrawn by the Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to opening of bids. The Borough  reserves the right to reject any or all or to waive any informality in the bids.

     Bids may be held by the Borough of Greenville for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract.

      In no event will the Borough of Greenville consider a contractor as eligible if he cannot initiate the work under the contract within fifteen (15) days of the contract execution and proceed to the successful completion of the work within fifteen (15) consecutive calendar days of the Notice to Proceed.
